Jeffrey Nah is a seasoned entrepreneur, investor, and lecturer based in Singapore. His career spans more than four decades and has taken him through seven different countries across the Asia-Pacific region. What sets Jeffrey apart is the layered evolution of his professional life. He began as a banker, made a bold leap into entrepreneurship, and eventually moved into the world of investment. Along the way, he carved out a place for himself as a well-respected figure in the venture capital and startup ecosystem.
Since May 2017, he has been serving as the CEO of JN Capital and Growth Advisory. The firm is based in Singapore and operates as a venture builder with a focus on innovation, internationalization, and entrepreneurship for technology startups throughout Asia Pacific. In parallel, he also leads Future Ready Academy as its CEO, a role he has held since July 2018. He wears yet another hat as a Partner at Halkin Business Partners Pty Ltd, where he supports small and medium enterprises and startups based in Australia, New Zealand, and Hong Kong. Through this platform, he helps them access both consulting services and growth capital to scale their businesses across Asia.
His investment work is just as expansive and well-rooted. He is a Limited Partner in several prominent venture capital firms. Since 2019, he has been a Limited Partner with Wavemaker Partners, an early-stage venture capital firm with dual headquarters in Los Angeles and Singapore. He also holds LP positions in True Global Ventures since 2020 and Blue Cloud Ventures since 2015. Blue Cloud is a boutique pre-IPO fund headquartered in New York. One of Jeffrey’s notable investments came through the network he built during his UCLA-NUS Executive MBA program. That connection led to a stake in a California-based medtech company, which is now advancing through its Series C funding round. His portfolio is diverse, spanning multiple sectors and geographies, including India, Indonesia, Vietnam, Singapore, Australia, and the United States.
While actively investing, Jeffrey also channels his energy into guiding and supporting emerging founders. He serves as an advisor to the National Startup Support Center under Vietnam’s Ministry of Science and Technology. He also contributes academically in various roles. He is an Adjunct Lecturer at Nanyang Technological University, an Adjunct Instructor with the Action Community for Entrepreneurship, and a Commercial Champion for the NUS Graduate Research Innovation Programme. With over two decades of experience mentoring early-stage ventures, he continues to guide startups through platforms such as the Action Community for Entrepreneurs, NTU ideasinc, and the NUS Entrepreneurship Society.
His academic foundation reflects a global perspective. He holds Executive MBAs from both the UCLA Anderson School of Management and the National University of Singapore. He also holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Simon Fraser University. In addition, he is a Registered Management Consultant accredited by the Institute of Management Consultants Singapore and is certified in Learning and Performance as an approved adult education trainer.
Jeffrey’s professional path is marked by a rare blend of corporate, entrepreneurial, and educational experiences. He spent 16 years as an entrepreneur, scaling Teleperformance’s call center operations in Southeast Asia. Under his leadership, the team grew from just 20 employees to more than 2,000. Before his entrepreneurial chapter, he spent 15 years in corporate and institutional banking with Deutsche Bank and Bank of America. His career actually began in marketing, where he worked in market research and brand management at Singapore Airlines and Tiger Beer.
His passion lies in enabling transformation through sectors that deeply impact society. These include technology, education, healthcare, food security, and sustainability. Today, he remains a forward-looking leader who is dedicated to preparing Singapore and the next generation to thrive in the future.
With his wide-ranging expertise and strong international network, Jeffrey Nah continues to exemplify what it means to be a modern business leader. He is entrepreneurial, strategic, and committed to shaping a more innovative and connected world.
